Aftercare

  • Keep the windows up for 3 to 5 days while the film dries.
  • A little haze or a few water spots while it dries is normal — they clear on their own.
  • Clean the glass with a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia.

If heat is what bothers you, yes. Ceramic IR blocks up to 87% of infrared heat against Carbon IR’s 75%, in the same shades.

Does ceramic tint have to be dark to block heat?

No. The ceramic layer blocks the heat, so even a light shade keeps the car noticeably cooler.

Will ceramic tint affect my phone or GPS?

No. There is no metal in Union Ceramic IR, so phone, GPS and radio signals pass through.

Can I get ceramic tint on a Pennsylvania car legally?

Yes. Pennsylvania allows 70% film on cars, and Ceramic IR in 70% still blocks infrared heat. SUVs, trucks and vans can go darker behind the front doors.

How much does ceramic window tint cost?

It depends on your vehicle and how many windows. Ceramic IR costs more than Carbon IR; tell us your car and we send you a free quote with both prices.

Is ceramic tint covered by the warranty?

Yes. Union film installations are covered for life against cracking, bubbling, peeling and fading.
